Ingredients
400 g pasta (e.g., spaghetti or penne)
3 tbsp. BIO PLANÈTE Cooking & Frying Olive Oil or Cooking & Frying Oil with Olives
2 tbsp. BIO PLANÈTE Oil Mixture for Pizza & Pasta (for garnishing)
2 cans chopped tomatoes (200g each)
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
1 red chili pepper, finely chopped (to taste)
salt & pepper to taste
fresh basil leaves for garnish
grated Parmesan (optional)
Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the pasta al dente according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
Heat the BIO PLANÈTE Cooking & Frying Olive Oil in a large pan over medium a heat. Fry the chopped garlic and chili peppers until the garlic turns golden brown (about 2 minutes).
Add the chopped tomatoes to the pan. Season with salt and pepper.
Simmer the sauce simmer over medium heat for about 15-20 minutes, until it thickens slightly. Stir occasionally.
Add the cooked pasta to the pan with the sauce. Mix well so that the pasta is evenly coated with the sauce.
Arrange the arrabbiata pasta onto plates. Just before serving, drizzle the BIO PLANÈTE Oil Mixture for Pizza & Pasta over the pasta. Garnish with fresh basil leaves and optionally sprinkle with grated Parmesan.
